Man threatens to light car on fire with woman inside

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Philipsburg gentleman is accused of dumping gasoline on a woman’s vehicle and threatening to established it on fire with her in it, according to state police out of Rockview.

State law enforcement reported that at about 1:45 a.m. on June 1, 36-calendar year aged Tyler Wetzel and the female got into an argument at a residence at the 100 block of Mill Road in Hurry Township, and that Wetzel poured gasoline on her vehicle soon after he instructed her to depart but she refused.

Police could see the gas on the trunk of her motor vehicle and also smelled its odor when they have been talking to the lady.

When condition law enforcement spoke to Wetzel, he admitted that after she refused to leave, he did threaten to mild the motor vehicle on fireplace with her in it, but that he only pretended to pour gasoline on her automobile, in accordance to condition police. After receiving surveillance footage, condition law enforcement could see Wetzel pour gas on the woman victim’s auto.

Wetzel faces misdemeanor charges of basic assault and terroristic threats with intent to terrorize an additional. He has an unsecured bail sum established at $25,000 and he awaits a preliminary listening to set for June 22.
