Ekiti: ACP, mechanic bag lifestyle in jail for obtaining stolen vehicle from kidnappers

An Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Okubo Aboye, 57, and his mechanic, Niyi Ibrahim Afolabi, 39, on Monday, bagged existence imprisonment for acquiring a stolen car or truck from kidnap suspects.

Delivering the judgment, Justice John Adeyeye reported, “Kidnapping individuals for ransom is very rampant in not only the state but in Nigeria as a full.

“The courtroom will be failing in its duty to shield the members of the modern society if suitable punishment is not provided to the accused people.”
