HENRY COUNTY, Va. – The Henry County Sheriff’s Place of work is investigating a malicious wounding Friday morning.
At about 10:16 a.m., the Martinsville-Henry County Unexpected emergency 911 Centre that an individual was shot within a motor vehicle and was driven to the Horsepasture Rescue Squad.
When deputies arrived at the rescue squad at about 10:25 a.m., they discovered a man within a 2002 Honda Civic with a gunshot wound in his back.
The target was discovered as 36-12 months-previous Michael Shane McBride, from Martinsville.
McBride was airlifted to a Roanoke clinic where by he was taken care of for non-life-threatening injuries.
More than the program of the investigation, authorities identified that 41-12 months-outdated Harley Daniel Pendleton, of Bassett, acquired into a battle more than a car or truck.
In accordance to the sheriff’s business, McBride experimented with to just take the car, which had mechanical troubles and shut down just after driving a shorter distance, from Pendleton’s assets,
Pendleton then chased down McBride, who was driving in one more car, and blocked him with his truck prior to firing a number of rounds into McBride’s car or truck, in accordance to authorities.
Authorities claimed Pendleton was taken into custody and billed with:
Capturing into an occupied automobile
Use of a firearm in the fee of a felony
Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
He is at the moment getting held at the Henry County Grownup Detention Centre with out bond.
